Hokkaido in Profile
Surrounded by sea on all sides, Hokkaido
is located in the north of the Japanese archipelago that extends from north to
south. Hokkaido accounts for one fifth of the nation's total land area.
Four distinctive seasons color the island, including a refreshing summer
and a cool, snow-carpeted winter that blankets the whole prefecture. Hokkaido
is particularly rich in natural beauty, boasting abundant natural forests,
mysterious lakes and truly magnificent mountains. This vast lands'natural environment is similar to that of Europe,
but still has its own unique flavor.
Hokkaido has been chosen as a location site for many
movies and TV dramas, and its regional charms have been widely praised by the
world.
Hokkaido confidently
serves as a treasure house of Asia's filming resources.
